Office Visitor Policy

Patients and Visitors:

We rely on each other to remain honest and thoughtful when responding to Covid questions whether you are asked in person or completing a questionnaire. Our goal is to keep all of our staff and patients safe and healthy.

We expect that you are respectful to our staff when asked Covid questions as they are acting on behalf of your health care provider.

For the comfort and safety of all:

  • We ask that you do not keep your appointment or bring a support person if your or they are feeling unwell, at all.
    • OB visits or visits of an urgent nature will be converted to telehealth.
  • Regardless of vaccination status, you must wear a hospital or office issued mask.
  • If booked at NWH, you MUST pass through one of the NWH screening check points and obtain a yellow visitor pass.
    • You will be asked to return to a check point, if you bypass this.
  • Wellesley Women’s Care will permit one support person per patient to accompany them to an appointment if needed.
  • At this time, children are not permitted at any location.
  • Please arrange childcare. If your childcare becomes unavailable, please reschedule.
    • o Exception: Post- Partum patients, scheduled for a visit up to 6 weeks after delivery.
  • Your support person must wait:
    • In the hallway outside our Newton office, in designated areas.
    • In your car if you are at our Walpole, Newton-Corner office or Natick
    • In the common waiting room at our Waltham location

Check-in at our Newton-Wellesley location:

Please proceed to one of the 3 screening locations within the hospital to be screened and receive a visitor pass. You will be asked to return to a screening station if you present to our office without a visitor pass.

COVID Questionnaires and screenings

MGB/ NWH will continue to send you the COVID screening questions with your e-check in email 72 hours prior to your appointment.

Our practice will also send you specific check-in details 24 hours prior to your appointment, PLEASE READ THEM.

If you do not, we will have to call you.

PLEASE respond to the questionnaire sent to you via the PATIENT GATEWAY portal upon receipt.

If you do not, we will have to call you.

We feel as a practice this is still a necessary precaution and ask that you respond and if we call you, be kind to our amazing team.
